While working as a investigator at the Pulkovo Transport Police while pursuing her law doctorate, Oxana began modeling, started entering and winning beauty contests and was soon named Miss Russia  in 2001, However, she  she voluntarily gave up her Miss Universe crown to finish her law degree.

While Oxana was writing her dissertation on "Regulation of Private Detective and Security Activity in the Russian Federation," she taught Civil Law  However, this brainy beauty also launched a television career and began hosting the popular children's program and soon won the  prestigious TEFI award for Best Children's Show.  She has also has co-hosted Russia's popular children's TV show, Spokoinoi Nochi, Malyshi ("Good Night, Children").
