Hamid Karzai's Birthday

The term "whore" has several connotations, the most common referring to a person who provides sexual services to another person in return for payment.. However, there is another non-sexual and more metaphorical connotation of a person that debases oneself by illegal activity usually with the intention achieving an unworthy cause . So it is in this connotation that Hamid Karzai , the president of Afghanistan, could be considered a whore.

Billions of dollars of international aid have been poured into Afghanistan, and a large portion of it has gone into the pockets of corrupt politicians which Hamid permits because it helps maintain him in power. Allegations of corruption and fraud rose to a new crescendo in the August 2009 election campaign when international observers reported widespread ballot-stuffing and other irregularities.

Whores also have a reputation on turning on their benefactors. In an October 2011 interview with private Pakistani television station GEO , Amid said "If fighting starts between Pakistan and the US, we are beside Pakistan,. "If Pakistan is attacked and the people of Pakistan need Afghanistan's help, Afghanistan will be there with you."

According to the New YorkTimes, several members of the Karzai family have mixed their personal interests with that of the state, and become hugely influential and wealthy by murky means So in light of the metaphorical connotation of the word whore, it appears to be a systemic familial disorder. Afghanistan has also been ranked as the second most corrupt country in the world by Transparency International

So there is only one way to toast the man on his birthday who continues to debases himself by illegal activity and/or the authorization illegal activity for financial and/or political gain - the Afghanistani Whore Cocktail.
