July 23
Monica Samille Lewinski's Birthday

Monica Lewinsky and President Clinton

After graduating from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon in 1995, Monica Lewinsky moved to Washington, DC, where she worked at the White House as an unpaid intern starting in July 1995. A few months later. Monica began the to have oral sex with President Bill Clinton in the Oval Office and moved to a paid position there in December 1995. In April 1996, Monica's'  superiors relocated her job to the Pentagon because they felt she was spending too much time around Clinton.  Monica confided to  co-worker named Linda Tripp about her relationship with the President. Linda secretly taped their conversations and later gave the tapes to Independent Counsel Kenneth Starr who launched the investigation that subsequently led to a political scandal.

On July 28, 1998, Monica received transactional immunity in exchange for grand jury testimony concerning her relationship with Clinton. She also turned over a semen-stained blue dress (which Linda Tripp had encouraged her to save without dry cleaning) to the Starr investigators, thereby providing a smoking gun based on DNA evidence that could prove the relationship despite Clinton's official denials. In 1988  in a press interview, Monica claimed that  one of the people she liked to compare her self to was Cassandra Peterson (aka Elvira, Mistress of the Dark), to which Cassandra replied " At least, I get my little black dress cleaned once in awhile."

Monica testified that she thought it also was possible that she had gotten spinach dip on the dress when she dined out following their meeting. Monica told prosecutors that she had meant to have the dress cleaned but never got around to it and said that Linda Tripp discouraged her from wearing the dress to a family Thanksgiving meal ."She discouraged me,'' Monica testified. "She brought me one of her jackets from her thinner closet. And so it (the dress) wasn't a souvenir. I was going to clean it. I was going to wear it again.''

Monica gave the dress to the Starr commission in return for immunity from prosecution. DNA tests later supported her claim that the stain on the dress was President Clinton's semen. A New York dealer has estimated that the Gap-store dress which retailed for $40.00 could be worth as much as $500,000.00 or more to a collector with the president's semen in tact.

So to celebrate the gateway's fellatio queen' s birthday, we suggest making some  Banana Cream Soup which are popular in Central America, the Caribbean, and Africa. A popular Tanzanian version (M'toui Supu) uses bananas, potatoes, and beef. But this  recipe is the  Caribbean version that spices up the chicken stock base with jalapeño pepper. You may also want to view her 200O TV mini-series Monica's Postcards on DVD after which she reportedly said "I'm well-known for something that isn't great to be well-known for."
