Chester Charles Bennington's Birthday
Chester Charles Bennington aka “Chazy Chaz" is a multitalented artist. In addition to being a clothing designer, actor, and songwriter, the multitattoed and multipierced Chester is best known as the vocalist in the Nu Metal band "Linkin Park." Linkin Park's debut album, Hybrid Theory, in 2000, was a mamouth success. The album was the best-selling debut album of the decade. Bennington also joined Z-Trip in 2005 for the single "Walking Dead", released on Z-Trip's major label album Shifting Gears. "Walking Dead" was a Top Ten Single in the US.
Linkin Park was originally called Hybrid Theory but got into a copy write conflict with a similarly named group. Chester suggested Linkin Park because after recording sessions Chester would drive past Lincoln Park in Santa Monica. It was originally upposed to be spelled "Lincoln" but since the band couldn't afford uo buy the domain name lincolnpark.com from its owner, so they changed the spelling in order to buy linkinpark.com. Linkin Park has amassed more than 50 million sales worldwide and won two Grammy awar. Their fourth studio album, A Thousand Suns released September 14, 2010, debuted #1 on Billboard’s Top 200 chart, as well as 15 other countries. His music fans might want to visit one of the many Club Tattoo parlors which he co-own and get a Linkin Park tattoo.
On the down side,
Chester has had a plague of health problems; He suffered a severe spider
bite while touring with the OzzFest in 2001. In 2003. Chester was admitted to an
Los Angeles. hospital after suffering an attack of severe back and abdominal pains.
Then he sustained a wrist injury in October 2007 while attempting to jump
off a platform during a show in Melbourne, Australia. He also
injured his back while performing a live
show, and in 2011, Bennington fell ill again and Linkin Park were forced to
cancel several performances.
On the "Fame is a Bitch" side, Chester and his second wife, Talinda,
were harassed by a cyber stalker, Devon Townsend who subsequently was found
guilty for sending threatening messages, and was sentenced to two years in
prison.
Chazy Chaz is also gaining new fans from his budding film career. After some
small parts in Crank
(2006) and Crank 2: High Voltage (2009), he graduated
to a more meaty role in Saw 3D (2010).
On Chester's Birthday, we wish him good
