October 10
Brett Lorenzo Favre's Birthday

Brett Favre was born in Gulfport, Mississippi on October 10, 1969.   The University of Southern Mississippi offered him a scholarship to play football, and. against the coaches’ judgment. Brett insisted upon playing quarterback.  He was drafted in 1991 to the Atlanta Falcons, and went on to have a legendary NFL career as the Green Bay Packers’ starting quarterback, although some of his initial injuries resulted in a pain killer addiction for which he had to enter rehab after being threatened with an almost one million dollar fine.

Brett holds the record for most consecutive games started. Favre started  297 games in a row without missing a single game. He is a three-time MVP, and is the only quarterback in NFL history to lead a team to victory against every single one of the league’s thirty-two teams.  He holds the all-time record for the most completed touchdown passes.

Nearly twenty years later, Brett would play for the New York Jets and the Minnesota Vikings, despite persistent rumors that he was due to retire. Sadly, Favre’s record as a consummate athlete is not unblemished. In his 2008 season with the New York Jets, he was implicated in a couple of sexual harassment allegations involving Jets staff members.  First, two massage therapists alleged that he invited them to participate in a threesome.  Second, there was the tricky matter of his supposed cell phone seduction of the Jets’ Gameday Host Jenn Sterger.  According to allegations, Brett left several unsolicited voice mails inviting her to hang out at his hotel after practice.  Soon after, several sexually explicit photographs were sent from the same phone number. Jenn claimed that in one of the photos, Brett was holding his penis while wearing the wristwatch he wore during his first retirement press conference.

To honor the celebrated, record-breaking football career of one of the game’s finest players and celebrity cell phone communicators, we recommend watching Brett playing himself in There's Something about Mary. (1998) while gulping down some penis stew and sending some cell phone photos of yourself eating you know what.  Clarissa Dickson and Jennifer Paterson of  PBS's Two Fat Ladies delighted the culinary world and desperate housewives  everywhere on their PBS show with their recipe for penis stew and their discussion of where to find one lb penises. To bad Brett didn't have Clarissa's and Jennifer's email addresses and vice versa.

Penis stew is popular in some Asian communities where is is consider the Chinese Viagra. Frozen bull penis generally has be ordered from China which makes the traditional recipes impractical for many.  So to make the recipe more practical, we have substituted bully sticks (dried bull's penis) manufactured as chewy teats for dogs.
